Instructions for Use

  1. Input Connection:

    • Connect the input voltage (VIN) to the positive terminal and ground (GND) to the negative terminal.
    • Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range (4.5V to 40V).
  2. Output Configuration:

    • Set the output voltage (VOUT) using the external resistor network if adjustable.
    • Verify the output voltage with a multimeter before connecting the load.
  3. Load Connection:

    • Connect the load between the output voltage (VOUT) and ground (GND).
    • Ensure the load current does not exceed the maximum output current (5A).
  4. Thermal Management:

    • Place the device on a heatsink or ensure adequate airflow to prevent overheating.
    • Monitor the temperature to avoid exceeding the operating temperature range (-40°C to 85°C).
  5. Protection Features:

    • The device includes short-circuit protection (SCP) and over-temperature shutdown (OTSD).
    • In case of a short circuit, the device will automatically restart after a brief delay.
    • If the temperature exceeds 160°C, the device will shut down to prevent damage.
  6. Storage:

    • Store the device in a dry environment within the storage temperature range (-55°C to 150°C).
  7. Testing:

    • Before final assembly, test the device under various conditions to ensure it meets the required performance specifications.
