Instructions for Use:

  1. Input Connection: Connect the input voltage to the "IN" pin. Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range (4.5V to 18V).
  2. Output Connection: Connect the load to the "OUT" pin. The output voltage will be regulated to 5V.
  3. Ground Connection: Connect the ground of the input and output circuits to the "GND" pin.
  4. Heat Dissipation: For high current applications, ensure proper heat dissipation by using a heatsink, especially if the dropout voltage is significant.
  5. Capacitors: It is recommended to place a 10渭F electrolytic capacitor between the input and ground, and a 10渭F electrolytic capacitor between the output and ground to improve stability and transient response.
  6. Overcurrent and Thermal Protection: The U2400B includes overcurrent and thermal shutdown protection. If the device overheats or exceeds the maximum current, it will automatically shut down to prevent damage.
  7. Storage and Handling: Store the device in a dry environment within the specified storage temperature range. Handle with care to avoid damage to the pins and package.
