Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect the Vcc pin to a power supply within the operating voltage range (4.5V to 24V).
    • Connect the GND pin to the ground of the power supply.
  2. Output Connection:

    • The output is an open collector, so connect a pull-up resistor between the output pin (OUT) and Vcc.
    • The typical value for the pull-up resistor is 1k惟 to 10k惟.
  3. Magnetic Field Application:

    • Place a magnetic field near the sensor to trigger the output.
    • The sensor will switch the output to low when the magnetic field strength exceeds the operating point (Bop).
    • The output will return to high when the magnetic field strength drops below the release point (Brp).
  4. Temperature Considerations:

    • Ensure that the sensor operates within the specified temperature range (-40掳C to 85掳C) for optimal performance.
    • Store the sensor within the storage temperature range (-40掳C to 150掳C).
  5. Mounting:

    • Mount the sensor in a location where it can detect the magnetic field without physical interference.
    • Ensure proper orientation of the sensor relative to the magnetic field source.
  6. Testing:

    • Test the sensor by applying a known magnetic field and verifying the output response.
    • Use a multimeter to measure the output voltage level to confirm the sensor is functioning correctly.
  7. Handling:

    • Handle the sensor with care to avoid damage.
    • Avoid exposing the sensor to excessive mechanical stress or moisture.

By following these instructions, you can ensure reliable operation of the HB-12D Hall Effect Sensor.
