Instructions for Use:

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure that both the input and output supply voltages are within the specified range (4.5V to 5.5V).
    • Connect the input supply voltage to pin 1 and ground to pin 8.
    • Connect the output supply voltage to pin 5 and ground to pin 4.
  2. Signal Input:

    • Apply the input signal to pin 2 (anode of the LED) and connect the cathode to ground (pin 8).
    • The typical input current is 10mA, but ensure it does not exceed the maximum rating.
  3. Signal Output:

    • The output signal is taken from pin 6 (collector of the phototransistor) with respect to pin 4 (emitter).
    • Connect a pull-up resistor between pin 6 and the output supply voltage (pin 5).
  4. Handling and Storage:

    • Store the device in a dry environment within the temperature range of -65掳C to +150掳C.
    • Handle the device with care to avoid mechanical stress and electrostatic discharge (ESD).
  5. Operating Environment:

    • Operate the device within the specified temperature range (-40掳C to +85掳C) to ensure reliable performance.
    • Avoid exposing the device to excessive humidity or corrosive environments.
  6. Testing:

    • Before integrating the device into a circuit, test its functionality using a simple test circuit to verify the input and output characteristics.
  7. Safety:

    • Ensure proper isolation when handling high voltages to prevent electrical shock.
    • Follow all safety guidelines and regulations when designing and testing circuits containing this device.
