Instructions for Use:

  1. Input Connection:

    • Connect the input voltage (VIN) to the input pin. Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range (4.5V to 14V).
    • Connect the ground (GND) to the common ground.
  2. Output Connection:

    • Connect the output pin (VOUT) to the load.
    • Ensure the load does not exceed the maximum output current (3A).
  3. Heat Dissipation:

    • The device may require a heatsink if operating at high output currents or in high ambient temperatures.
    • Calculate the power dissipation (P = (VIN - VOUT) * IOUT) and ensure it is within safe limits.
  4. Capacitors:

    • Place input and output capacitors close to the respective pins to minimize noise and improve stability.
    • Recommended values: 10渭F ceramic capacitor on the input and 10渭F ceramic capacitor on the output.
  5. Thermal Management:

    • Monitor the operating temperature to ensure it stays within the specified range (-40掳C to 85掳C).
    • If the device reaches the thermal shutdown temperature (160掳C), it will automatically shut down to prevent damage.
  6. Storage:

    • Store the device in a dry, cool environment within the storage temperature range (-65掳C to 150掳C).
  7. Testing:

    • Before connecting to the final application, test the device with a known load to verify proper operation and output voltage.
  8. Safety:

    • Always follow proper electrical safety guidelines when handling and testing the device.
