Instructions for Use:

  1. Mounting and Handling:

    • Ensure the BTA26-600 is handled with care to avoid damage to its terminals.
    • Mount the device in a well-ventilated area to ensure proper heat dissipation.
  2. Electrical Connections:

    • Connect the gate terminal (G) to the control circuit ensuring it can supply the required gate trigger current.
    • Connect the main terminals (T1 and T2) to the load and power supply according to the circuit design.
  3. Operational Limits:

    • Do not exceed the maximum repetitive peak off-state voltage (VDRM) of 600V.
    • Keep the RMS on-state current (IT(RMS)) within the rated limit of 26A at a junction temperature of 100掳C.
    • Ensure the non-repetitive peak on-state current does not exceed 80A for a single sine wave cycle.
  4. Gate Triggering:

    • Apply the gate trigger voltage (VGT) within the range of 1.5V to 3.5V.
    • The gate trigger current (IG(T)) should be between 卤5mA and 卤50mA under specified conditions.
  5. Current Ratings:

    • Ensure the holding current (IH) is maintained above 10mA to keep the device conducting.
    • The latching current (IL) should be around 15mA to latch the device into conduction mode.
  6. Thermal Considerations:

    • Monitor the junction temperature (Tj) to ensure it does not exceed 100掳C to prevent thermal runaway.
  7. Protective Measures:

    • Implement appropriate snubber circuits if necessary to protect against voltage spikes and transient conditions.
  8. Testing and Verification:

    • After installation, verify all connections and test the operation of the BTA26-600 under controlled conditions to ensure it meets the performance requirements.
