Instructions for Use:

  1. Input Connection:

    • Connect the input voltage (VIN) to the positive terminal of the power supply.
    • Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range (4.5V to 24V).
  2. Output Configuration:

    • Set the output voltage (VOUT) using the external resistors according to the datasheet formula.
    • The output voltage can be adjusted between 1.8V and 5.5V.
  3. Output Load:

    • The maximum continuous output current is 2A.
    • Ensure the load does not exceed this limit to avoid damage or reduced efficiency.
  4. Thermal Management:

    • The device operates efficiently at temperatures up to 125°C.
    • For extended operation at high temperatures, ensure adequate heat dissipation or use a heatsink.
  5. Shutdown Mode:

    • To enter shutdown mode, pull the enable pin (EN) low.
    • In shutdown mode, the quiescent current is reduced to approximately 10μA.
  6. Capacitors:

    • Use recommended input and output capacitors to stabilize the circuit and filter noise.
    • Typical values are 10μF for input and 10μF for output, but consult the datasheet for specific recommendations.
  7. Layout Considerations:

    • Place the input and output capacitors as close as possible to the IC to minimize inductance.
    • Use wide traces for power and ground connections to reduce resistance and inductance.
  8. Storage:

    • Store the device in a dry environment with temperatures between -65°C and 150°C to prevent damage.
  9. Handling:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid static discharge, which can damage the internal components.
    • Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions during handling and assembly.
