  1. Mounting:

  2. Biasing:

    • The base-emitter voltage (VBE) is typically around 2.5V to 3.5V.
    • Use a current-limiting resistor in series with the base to prevent excessive base current.
  3. Current Handling:

    • The maximum collector current (IC) is 15A, but continuous operation should be limited to 5A to avoid overheating.
    • For higher currents, ensure adequate cooling and derate the power dissipation accordingly.
  4. Voltage Ratings:

    • Do not exceed the maximum collector-emitter voltage (VCE) of 60V.
    • Similarly, do not exceed the maximum emitter-collector voltage (VEC) of 60V.
  5. Power Dissipation:

    • The maximum power dissipation (PT) is 130W. Ensure that the power dissipation does not exceed this limit to avoid damage to the transistor.
  6. Temperature:

    • The junction temperature (TJ) should be kept between -40掳C and 150掳C.
    • The storage temperature (TSTG) should also be within the same range.
  7. Storage:
