Instructions for Using AN7205

  1. Power Supply Connection:

    • Connect the positive terminal of the power supply to the VDD pin.
    • Connect the negative terminal of the power supply to the GND pin.
  2. Output Connection:

    • Connect the load to the VOUT pin.
    • Ensure the load does not exceed the maximum output current (50 mA).
  3. Capacitors:

    • Place a 1 渭F ceramic capacitor between VDD and GND as close as possible to the IC.
    • Place a 1 渭F ceramic capacitor between VOUT and GND to stabilize the output.
  4. Thermal Considerations:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation if the IC is operating near its maximum output current.
    • Avoid exceeding the thermal shutdown temperature (160掳C).
  5. Standby Mode:

    • To enter standby mode, set the enable pin (if available) to a low state or disconnect the load.
    • The quiescent current in standby mode is typically 1.0 渭A.
  6. Operating Range:

    • Ensure the supply voltage is within the specified range (2.7 V to 5.5 V).
    • The operating temperature range is from -40掳C to 85掳C.
  7. Protection:

    • The IC includes built-in overcurrent and thermal protection.
    • Do not short the output to ground or apply reverse voltage to the input.
  8. Storage:
