Instructions for Use

  1. Input Connection:

    • Connect the positive terminal of the power supply to the VIN pin.
    • Connect the negative terminal (ground) of the power supply to the GND pin.
  2. Output Connection:

    • Connect the load to the VOUT pin.
    • Ensure the ground of the load is connected to the GND pin.
  3. Capacitors:

    • Place a 1渭F ceramic capacitor between VIN and GND as close to the IC as possible.
    • Place a 1渭F ceramic capacitor between VOUT and GND as close to the IC as possible.
  4. Thermal Considerations:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation if operating at high output currents or in high ambient temperatures.
    • The IC can operate up to 85掳C, but performance may degrade at higher temperatures.
  5. Protection Features:

    • The PT5126 includes overcurrent protection and thermal shutdown to prevent damage under fault conditions.
  6. Layout Recommendations:

    • Keep the layout compact to minimize parasitic inductance and capacitance.
    • Use wide traces for power and ground connections to reduce resistance and improve heat dissipation.
