Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect the VCC pin to a power supply between 4.5V and 24V DC.
    • Connect the GND pin to the ground of the power supply.
  2. Output Connection:

    • The output is an open collector, so connect a pull-up resistor (typically 1k惟 to 10k惟) between the output pin (OUT) and VCC.
    • Connect the OUT pin to the input of your control circuit or microcontroller.
  3. Magnetic Field Detection:

    • Place a magnet near the sensor to trigger the output. The sensor will activate when the magnetic field strength exceeds 100 Gauss and deactivate when it drops below 70 Gauss.
  4. Mounting:

    • Ensure the sensor is mounted in a location where it can detect the magnetic field without interference from other magnetic sources.
    • For surface mount applications, solder the sensor directly to the PCB.
    • For through-hole applications, insert the sensor into the PCB and solder the leads.
  5. Environmental Considerations:

    • Operate the sensor within the specified temperature range (-40掳C to +85掳C) to ensure reliable performance.
    • Store the sensor in a dry environment with temperatures not exceeding +150掳C.
  6. Testing:

    • To test the sensor, apply a magnetic field to the sensor and observe the output. The output should go low (0V) when the magnetic field is detected and high (VCC) when no magnetic field is present.
  7. Handling:

    • Handle the sensor with care to avoid damage to the leads and the internal components.
    • Avoid exposing the sensor to excessive mechanical stress or vibration.

By following these instructions, you can ensure optimal performance and longevity of the HB-1 Hall Effect Sensor.
