Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect VCC to the positive supply voltage (1.7V to 5.5V).
    • Connect GND to the ground.
  2. I2C Interface:

    • Connect SDA (Serial Data Line) to the data pin of the I2C bus.
    • Connect SCL (Serial Clock Line) to the clock pin of the I2C bus.
    • Ensure pull-up resistors are connected to both SDA and SCL lines.
  3. Address Configuration:

    • The device has a fixed I2C address of 1010 000b (A0-A2 = 000). If using multiple devices, ensure they have unique addresses by configuring A0, A1, and A2 pins accordingly.
  4. Read Operation:

    • Start the I2C communication with a start condition.
    • Send the device address followed by a read bit (R/W = 1).
    • Read the desired number of bytes from the device.
    • End the communication with a stop condition.
  5. Write Operation:

    • Start the I2C communication with a start condition.
    • Send the device address followed by a write bit (R/W = 0).
    • Send the memory address where the data will be written.
    • Send the data to be written.
    • End the communication with a stop condition.
  6. Page Write:

    • For writing more than one byte, use the page write feature.
    • Start the I2C communication.
    • Send the device address followed by a write bit.
    • Send the starting memory address.
    • Send up to 16 bytes of data.
    • End the communication with a stop condition.
  7. Write Protection:

    • The device does not have hardware write protection. Ensure software control is implemented to prevent accidental writes.
  8. Handling ESD:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid ESD damage. Use appropriate ESD protection measures during handling and assembly.
  9. Storage:

    • Store the device in a dry, cool environment to maintain its reliability and performance.
  10. Testing:

    • After installation, verify the functionality of the device by reading and writing data to it. Ensure the I2C communication is stable and error-free.
