Instructions for Use

  1. Handling and Storage:

    • Store the diode in a dry, cool place within the specified storage temperature range.
    • Handle the diode with care to avoid damage to the leads or the body.
  2. Soldering:

    • Preheat the PCB to 100掳C to 150掳C before soldering.
    • Solder the diode at a temperature of 260掳C for no more than 10 seconds.
    • Allow the diode to cool naturally after soldering.
  3. Mounting:

    • Ensure that the diode is mounted with adequate heat sinking if it will be operating at high power levels.
    • Use a thermal compound between the diode and the heat sink to improve thermal conductivity.
  4. Electrical Connections:

    • Connect the cathode (marked with a band) to the positive side of the circuit.
    • Connect the anode to the negative side of the circuit.
  5. Testing:

    • Test the diode using a multimeter set to the diode test mode.
    • The diode should show a low resistance in the forward direction and high resistance in the reverse direction.
  6. Safety:

    • Do not exceed the maximum ratings specified in the parameter table.
    • Ensure proper ventilation when soldering to avoid inhaling fumes.
  7. Disposal:
