Instructions for Use:
Mounting:
- Ensure that the leads are not bent at sharp angles to avoid mechanical stress.
- Soldering temperature should not exceed 260掳C for more than 10 seconds.
Electrical Connections:
- Connect the longer lead (anode) to the positive terminal of the power supply.
- Connect the shorter lead (cathode) to the negative terminal or ground.
Current Limiting:
- Use a current-limiting resistor to ensure the forward current does not exceed 50 mA continuously.
- For pulse applications, do not exceed 150 mA with a 10% duty cycle at 100 Hz.
Heat Dissipation:
- If operating at high currents, ensure adequate heat dissipation to prevent overheating.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to temperatures above 85掳C.
Storage:
- Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Ensure storage temperature is between -40掳C and 100掳C.
Handling:
- Handle with care to avoid damaging the leads or the body of the component.
- Use anti-static precautions to prevent damage from electrostatic discharge.
Testing:
- Test the component using a multimeter set to measure diode or continuity to ensure proper functionality.
- Verify the forward voltage and luminous intensity under specified conditions.
