Instructions for Use:

  1. Mounting:

    • Ensure that the leads are not bent at sharp angles to avoid mechanical stress.
    • Soldering temperature should not exceed 260掳C for more than 10 seconds.
  2. Electrical Connections:

    • Connect the longer lead (anode) to the positive terminal of the power supply.
    • Connect the shorter lead (cathode) to the negative terminal or ground.
  3. Current Limiting:

    • Use a current-limiting resistor to ensure the forward current does not exceed 50 mA continuously.
    • For pulse applications, do not exceed 150 mA with a 10% duty cycle at 100 Hz.
  4. Heat Dissipation:

    • If operating at high currents, ensure adequate heat dissipation to prevent overheating.
    • Avoid prolonged exposure to temperatures above 85掳C.
  5. Storage:

    • Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
    • Ensure storage temperature is between -40掳C and 100掳C.
  6. Handling:

    • Handle with care to avoid damaging the leads or the body of the component.
    • Use anti-static precautions to prevent damage from electrostatic discharge.
  7. Testing:

    • Test the component using a multimeter set to measure diode or continuity to ensure proper functionality.
    • Verify the forward voltage and luminous intensity under specified conditions.
