Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply Connection:

    • Connect the input power supply to the VIN and GND pins.
    • Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range (2.7V to 5.5V).
  2. Output Configuration:

    • Set the desired output voltage using the feedback resistor network connected to the FB pin.
    • The output voltage can be calculated using the formula: ( V_ = 1.23 times left(1 + fracright) ), where R1 and R2 are the resistors in the feedback network.
  3. Inductor Selection:

    • Choose an inductor with a value that matches the switching frequency and output current requirements.
    • A typical inductor value is 4.7渭H to 10渭H.
  4. Capacitor Selection:

    • Use ceramic capacitors for input and output filtering.
    • Input capacitance: 10渭F to 22渭F.
    • Output capacitance: 22渭F to 47渭F.
  5. PCB Layout:

    • Place the input and output capacitors as close as possible to the IC to minimize parasitic inductance.
    • Ensure proper thermal management by providing adequate copper area for heat dissipation.
  6. Testing:

    • After assembly, test the circuit under no-load and full-load conditions to ensure stable operation and correct output voltage.
    • Monitor the temperature of the IC to ensure it does not exceed the maximum operating temperature.
  7. Protection:

    • The IC includes overcurrent protection, thermal shutdown, and short-circuit protection. These features will automatically shut down the converter if any fault condition is detected.
