Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect the VDD pin to the positive supply voltage (2.7V to 5.5V).
    • Connect the VSS pin to ground.
  2. Channel Selection:

    • Use the address inputs (A0, A1, A2) to select the desired channel.
    • The channel selection is binary-coded:
      • A0 = 0, A1 = 0, A2 = 0 selects Channel 0
      • A0 = 1, A1 = 0, A2 = 0 selects Channel 1
      • A0 = 0, A1 = 1, A2 = 0 selects Channel 2
      • A0 = 1, A1 = 1, A2 = 0 selects Channel 3
      • A0 = 0, A1 = 0, A2 = 1 selects Channel 4
      • A0 = 1, A1 = 0, A2 = 1 selects Channel 5
      • A0 = 0, A1 = 1, A2 = 1 selects Channel 6
      • A0 = 1, A1 = 1, A2 = 1 selects Channel 7
  3. Enable Pin (EN):

    • Set the EN pin to low (0V) to enable the multiplexer/demultiplexer.
    • Set the EN pin to high (VDD) to disable the device, placing all channels in a high-impedance state.
  4. Signal Routing:

    • In multiplexer mode, connect the common input/output (Y) to the signal source.
    • In demultiplexer mode, connect the common input/output (Y) to the load or output device.
    • The selected channel will route the signal from/to the common input/output (Y).
  5. Handling Precautions:

    • Ensure that the supply voltage is within the specified range to avoid damage.
    • Avoid exceeding the maximum input/output voltage to prevent device failure.
    • Store the device in a dry environment within the specified storage temperature range.
  6. Testing:

    • Verify the functionality by applying a known signal to the input and measuring the output on the selected channel.
    • Check the off-state leakage current to ensure proper isolation between channels.
  7. Layout Considerations:

    • Place decoupling capacitors close to the power pins to minimize noise and ensure stable operation.
    • Keep signal traces short to reduce parasitic capacitance and inductance.
