Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply:

    • The MC3403 can operate with a supply voltage ranging from 2.7V to 5.5V. Ensure that the supply voltage is within this range to avoid damage to the device.
  2. Input Voltage:

    • The input voltage should be within the range of 0V to the supply voltage (Vcc). Exceeding these limits can cause damage to the op-amp.
  3. Output Voltage:

    • The output voltage range is also from 0V to the supply voltage (Vcc). The output can swing close to the supply rails, but not exactly to them due to the internal design of the op-amp.
  4. Quiescent Current:

    • The quiescent current is the current drawn by the op-amp when there is no load. It typically ranges from 1.2mA to 2.5mA at 5V supply.
  5. Output Current:

    • Each op-amp can source or sink up to 30mA of current. When all four op-amps are used, the total output current should not exceed 120mA.
  6. Slew Rate:

    • The slew rate is the maximum rate of change of the output voltage. It typically ranges from 0.3V/渭s to 0.7V/渭s.
  7. Common Mode Input Range:

    • The common mode input range is from 0V to Vcc - 1.5V. Inputs outside this range can lead to incorrect operation.
  8. Differential Input Voltage:

    • The differential input voltage should not exceed 卤1.5V to prevent damage to the op-amp.
  9. Input Offset Voltage:

    • The input offset voltage is the voltage difference between the two input terminals when the output is zero. It typically ranges from -1mV to 1mV at room temperature.
  10. Input Bias Current:

    • The input bias current is the average current flowing into the input terminals. It typically ranges from -10nA to 10nA at room temperature.
  11. Input Offset Current:

    • The input offset current is the difference in bias currents between the two input terminals. It typically ranges from -100nA to 100nA at room temperature.
  12. Power Dissipation:

    • The maximum power dissipation is 300mW at a junction temperature of 125掳C. Ensure proper heat sinking if operating near this limit.
  13. Operating Temperature:

    • The commercial grade operates from 0掳C to 70掳C, while the industrial grade operates from -40掳C to 85掳C.
  14. Storage Temperature:

    • The device can be stored in temperatures ranging from -65掳C to 150掳C.
  15. Handling Precautions:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid static discharge, which can damage the sensitive components.
    • Ensure that the device is properly grounded before handling to prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD).
  16. Mounting and Soldering:

    • Follow standard soldering procedures to avoid thermal shock and mechanical stress.
    • Use a heat sink if necessary to manage heat during soldering.
  17. Testing:

    • Test the device under specified conditions to ensure it meets the required performance parameters.
    • Use appropriate test equipment to avoid damaging the device during testing.
