Instructions for Use:

  1. Input Connection:

    • Connect the positive terminal of the power supply to the VIN pin.
    • Connect the negative terminal of the power supply to the GND pin.
  2. Output Connection:

    • Connect the load to the VOUT pin.
    • Ensure the load is within the maximum output current rating (1.5A).
  3. Capacitors:

    • Place a 10渭F tantalum or ceramic capacitor between VOUT and GND close to the regulator to ensure stability.
    • Optionally, place a 100nF ceramic capacitor between VIN and GND for noise filtering.
  4. Thermal Considerations:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation if operating at high output currents or in high ambient temperatures.
    • The regulator will shut down if the junction temperature exceeds 160掳C to prevent damage.
  5. PCB Layout:

    • Keep the ground plane large and connected to the GND pin to help dissipate heat.
    • Use wide traces for VIN and VOUT to minimize voltage drops and power losses.
  6. Testing:

    • Before connecting the load, verify the output voltage with a multimeter.
    • Gradually increase the load to ensure the regulator operates within specifications.
