Instructions for Use:

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure the supply voltage (Vcc) is within the specified range of 2.5V to 5.5V.
    • Connect the ground (GND) pin to the system ground.
  2. Addressing:

    • The device has 12 address lines (A0-A11) to access the 4096 memory locations.
    • Address lines should be connected to the corresponding address lines of the microcontroller or system bus.
  3. Data Input/Output:

    • Data is transferred through the data lines (D0-D7).
    • During read operations, data is output on these lines.
    • During write operations, data is input through these lines.
  4. Control Signals:

    • Chip Select (CS#): Low to enable the chip.
    • Write Protect (WP#): High to allow writes, low to protect against accidental writes.
    • Output Enable (OE#): Low to enable data output during read operations.
    • Write Enable (WE#): Low to initiate write operations.
  5. Write Operation:

    • Set CS# and WE# low.
    • Apply the desired address to the address lines.
    • Apply the data to be written to the data lines.
    • Hold WE# low for at least the minimum write cycle time (5 ms).
    • Return WE# high to complete the write operation.
  6. Read Operation:

    • Set CS# and OE# low.
    • Apply the desired address to the address lines.
    • Data will appear on the data lines after the access time (70 ns).
  7. Endurance and Data Retention:

    • The device can withstand up to 1,000,000 write/read cycles.
    • Data retention is guaranteed for up to 100 years under normal operating conditions.
  8. Handling:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid static discharge.
    • Store in a dry environment to prevent moisture damage.
  9. Mounting:

    • Solder the device to the PCB following standard reflow soldering profiles.
    • Ensure proper cooling if the device is used in high-temperature environments.
  10. Testing:

    • Verify the functionality of the device by performing read and write operations using a known test pattern.
    • Check the standby and active currents to ensure they are within the specified limits.
