Instructions for Use:
- Voltage Rating: Ensure that the peak off-state voltage (VDRM/VRRM) does not exceed 600V to prevent damage.
- Current Handling: The BTB16-600 can handle a continuous RMS on-state current of up to 16A at a junction temperature not exceeding 100°C.
- Pulse Current: For non-repetitive peak on-state currents, ensure the junction temperature is below 40°C and limit pulse duration to 10ms.
- Gate Triggering: Apply a gate trigger voltage between 1.5V and 3V with a gate trigger current ranging from 20mA to 100mA.
- Switching Times: The turn-on time should be within 0.5μs to 2μs, and the turn-off time within 1.5μs to 3.5μs under specified conditions.
- Power Dissipation: Each device can dissipate up to 100W when the case temperature is maintained at 40°C.
- Temperature Limits: Operate within a junction temperature range of -55°C to 125°C.
Note 1: Refer to the datasheet for detailed test conditions for turn-on and turn-off times.
