Instructions for Use:

  1. Preparation:

    • Ensure the surface where the FSR12.5 will be mounted is clean and free of debris.
    • Peel off the protective film from the adhesive backing.
  2. Mounting:

    • Place the FSR12.5 on the desired location and press firmly to ensure good adhesion.
    • Avoid applying excessive force during mounting to prevent damage to the sensor.
  3. Wiring:

    • Connect the leads to your circuit. The leads are typically tinned copper wires with a cross-sectional area of 0.3 mm2.
    • Ensure the connections are secure and insulated to prevent short circuits.
  4. Calibration:

    • Calibrate the FSR12.5 by applying known forces and measuring the corresponding resistance values.
    • Use these values to create a lookup table or calibration curve for accurate force measurements.
  5. Operation:

    • Apply force to the sensor within the operating range (0.1 N to 10 N).
    • Monitor the resistance change to determine the applied force.
    • Note that the resistance decreases as the applied force increases.
  6. Maintenance:

    • Avoid exposing the FSR12.5 to harsh chemicals or environments outside its operating temperature range.
    • Regularly inspect the sensor for signs of wear or damage, and replace if necessary.
  7. Storage:

    • Store the FSR12.5 in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
