Instructions for TL7702A

  1. Power Supply Connection:

    • Connect the input voltage (V_IN) between 2.7V and 5.5V to the VIN pin.
    • Ensure a stable power supply to maintain the quiescent current within limits.
  2. Output Configuration:

    • The device provides a fixed output voltage of 1.8V. No external resistors are required for setting the output voltage.
  3. Load Handling:

    • The device can support up to 100mA load current. Ensure that the load does not exceed this limit to avoid overheating or damage.
  4. Thermal Considerations:

    • For applications requiring higher load currents, ensure adequate heat dissipation or consider using a heatsink.
  5. Shutdown Feature:

    • To place the device in shutdown mode, pull the SHDN pin low. This reduces the current consumption to approximately 0.5μA.
  6. Bypass Capacitors:

    • Place a 1μF bypass capacitor between the VIN and GND pins close to the device to improve transient response and stability.
  7. PCB Layout:

    • Follow good PCB layout practices by minimizing trace lengths for power and ground connections and ensuring proper grounding to reduce noise and interference.
  8. Operating Temperature Range:

    • The device is designed to operate over a temperature range from -40°C to +85°C. Ensure that the operating environment stays within these limits.
  9. Storage and Handling:

    • Store the device in an ESD-safe environment and handle with care to prevent damage from electrostatic discharge.
