Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply and Grounding:

    • Connect Vcc to the power supply (2.7V to 5.5V).
    • Connect GND to the ground.
  2. Chip Select (CS):

    • Set CS low to enable communication.
    • Set CS high to disable communication and put the device into standby mode.
  3. Serial Clock (SCK):

    • Apply a clock signal to SCK to synchronize data transfer.
    • The clock frequency should be within the specified range for the device.
  4. Serial In (SI):

    • Send data to the device through the SI pin.
    • Data is shifted into the device on the rising edge of SCK.
  5. Serial Out (SO):

    • Receive data from the device through the SO pin.
    • Data is shifted out of the device on the falling edge of SCK.
  6. Hold/Suspend (HOLD):

    • Set HOLD low to suspend ongoing operations.
    • Set HOLD high to resume operations.
  7. Write Protect (WP):

    • Set WP high to allow write operations.
    • Set WP low to prevent write operations (write protect).
  8. Read Operation:

    • Set CS low.
    • Send the read command (00000011) followed by the address.
    • The device will output the data on SO.
  9. Write Operation:

    • Set CS low.
    • Send the write command (00000010) followed by the address and data.
    • Wait for the write cycle to complete (up to 5 ms).
  10. Erase Operation:

    • The device does not have a separate erase command; writing a new value to an address automatically erases the previous value.
  11. Standby Mode:

    • Set CS high to enter standby mode, which reduces power consumption.
  12. Temperature Considerations:

    • Ensure the operating temperature is within the specified range (-40掳C to +85掳C) for reliable operation.
  13. Handling Precautions:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid static damage.
    • Follow proper soldering techniques to ensure reliable connections.
