Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply Connection:

    • Connect the input voltage to the "IN" pin.
    • Connect the output load to the "OUT" pin.
    • Ensure a common ground connection between the input and output circuits by connecting the "GND" pin.
  2. Capacitors:

    • Place a 10渭F electrolytic capacitor between the "IN" and "GND" pins as close as possible to the regulator to stabilize the input voltage.
    • Place a 10渭F electrolytic capacitor between the "OUT" and "GND" pins to filter the output voltage and ensure stability.
  3. Heat Dissipation:

    • For high current applications, ensure adequate heat dissipation by using a heatsink or heat spreader.
    • The thermal resistance from junction to ambient (胃JA) is 65掳C/W without a heatsink.
  4. PCB Layout:

    • Use wide traces for power connections to minimize voltage drop and heat generation.
    • Keep the layout compact to reduce parasitic inductance and capacitance.
  5. Overcurrent Protection:

    • The device includes internal overcurrent protection to prevent damage under short-circuit conditions.
    • If the output current exceeds the rated limit, the regulator will automatically reduce the output current to protect the device.
  6. Reverse Polarity Protection:

    • The device does not include reverse polarity protection. Ensure that the input voltage is applied correctly to avoid damage.
  7. Testing:

    • Before connecting the load, test the output voltage with a multimeter to ensure it is within the expected range.
    • Gradually increase the load to check for stable operation and proper regulation.
  8. Storage and Handling:

    • Store the device in a dry, cool environment to prevent moisture damage.
    • Handle the device with care to avoid mechanical stress and static discharge.
