LM1307N Instructions

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect the VCC pin to a 4.5V to 5.5V power supply.
    • Connect the GND pin to the ground.
  2. Clock Input (CLK):

    • Apply a clock signal to the CLK pin to shift data into the register.
    • The maximum clock frequency is 10 MHz.
  3. Data Input (DIN):

    • Apply the serial data input to the DIN pin during each clock cycle.
  4. Latch Enable (LE):

    • Set the LE pin high to enable the latch.
    • When LE is high, the data in the shift register is transferred to the output latches.
    • Set LE low to disable the latch and allow data to be shifted into the register.
  5. Output (Q0-Q13):

    • The parallel outputs Q0 to Q13 will reflect the data in the latches when LE is high.
  6. Reset (MR):

    • Connect the MR pin to GND to reset the device.
    • When MR is low, all outputs are set to a known state (usually low).
  7. Operating Conditions:

    • Ensure that the operating temperature range is between -40掳C and 85掳C.
    • Store the device in a temperature range between -65掳C and 150掳C.
  8. Handling Precautions:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid electrostatic discharge (ESD).
    • Use proper grounding and ESD protection when handling the device.
  9. Testing:

    • Verify the functionality by applying a known pattern to the DIN pin and observing the output on Q0-Q13.

By following these instructions, you can effectively use the LM1307N in your circuit design.
