ISO224ADWV Instructions

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure that both VCC1 and VCC2 are within the specified range (3.0V to 5.5V).
    • Use decoupling capacitors (0.1 μF and 10 μF) close to each power supply pin to reduce noise and improve stability.
  2. Signal Input:

    • Connect the input signal to the appropriate channel (IN1 or IN2) on the primary side.
    • Ensure the input signal is within the logic levels defined by the power supply voltage (VCC1).
  3. Signal Output:

    • The isolated output will be available on the corresponding channel (OUT1 or OUT2) on the secondary side.
    • Ensure the load on the output does not exceed the maximum current rating of the device.
  4. Isolation Barrier:

    • The ISO224ADWV provides galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary sides.
    • Do not exceed the maximum isolation voltage (VIORM) to prevent damage to the isolation barrier.
  5. Data Rate:

    • The device supports data rates up to 150 Mbps.
    • For optimal performance, ensure the propagation delay and skew are within the specified limits.
  6. Operating Temperature:

    • Operate the device within the specified temperature range (-40°C to 85°C) to ensure reliable performance.
    • Store the device in a temperature-controlled environment (-65°C to 150°C) to avoid damage.
  7. Common-Mode Transient Immunity (CMTI):

    • The device has a high CMTI rating, which helps in maintaining signal integrity in noisy environments.
    • Ensure that common-mode transients do not exceed the specified CMTI limit to avoid data corruption.
  8. Quiescent Current:

    • The quiescent current is relatively low, making the device suitable for battery-powered applications.
    • Monitor the current consumption to ensure it does not exceed the typical value under normal operating conditions.
  9. Mounting and Handling:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid static discharge, which can damage the isolation barrier.
    • Follow proper PCB layout guidelines to minimize parasitic inductance and capacitance, which can affect performance.

By following these parameters and instructions, you can ensure the ISO224ADWV operates reliably in your application.
