Instructions

  1. Installation:

    • Ensure the sensor is installed in a location that is free from dust, moisture, and extreme temperatures.
    • Use the provided mounting brackets to secure the sensor in place.
  2. Wiring:

    • Connect the power supply to the sensor using the M12 4-pin connector.
    • Pin 1: Brown (Positive)
    • Pin 2: Blue (Negative)
    • Pin 3: Black (Output)
    • Pin 4: White (Common)
  3. Adjustment:

    • Adjust the detection distance using the potentiometer on the sensor.
    • Turn the potentiometer clockwise to increase the detection distance and counterclockwise to decrease it.
  4. Operation:

    • When an object breaks the beam between the transmitter and receiver, the output changes state.
    • The output is normally open and will close when the beam is broken (NPN open collector).
  5. Maintenance:

    • Regularly clean the lens with a soft, dry cloth to maintain optimal performance.
    • Avoid exposing the sensor to harsh chemicals or solvents.
  6. Troubleshooting:

    • If the sensor does not respond, check the wiring connections and ensure the power supply is within the specified range.
    • If the detection distance is inconsistent, recalibrate the sensor by adjusting the potentiometer.
