Instructions for Using AD5696RBRUZ

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure the supply voltage (VDD) is within the range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
    • Connect the power supply to the VDD pin and ground (GND) to the GND pin.
  2. Reference Voltage:

    • The reference voltage (VREF) can be set externally or internally.
    • For external reference, connect the desired voltage to the VREF pin.
    • For internal reference, connect the VREF pin to VDD.
  3. Digital Input:

    • The AD5696RBRUZ supports SPI communication.
    • Connect the SPI lines (SCLK, SDIN, LDAC, CS) to your microcontroller or controller.
    • Use the appropriate SPI commands to write to the DAC register.
  4. Output Configuration:

    • The output voltage (VOUT) will be proportional to the digital code written to the DAC register.
    • The output range is from 0V to VDD - 1.2V.
  5. Settling Time:

    • After writing a new value to the DAC register, allow at least 5 microseconds for the output to settle.
  6. Power Consumption:

    • The device typically consumes 350 μA of current.
  7. Operating Temperature:

    • Ensure the operating temperature is within the range of -40°C to +125°C.
  8. Handling and Storage:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid static damage.
    • Store the device in a dry, cool environment to prevent moisture damage.
  9. Testing:

    • After installation, test the device by applying known digital codes and measuring the corresponding output voltages to ensure proper operation.
