Instructions for Use:

  1. Input Connection:

    • Connect the positive terminal of the power supply to the input (VIN) pin.
    • Connect the negative terminal of the power supply to the ground (GND) pin.
  2. Output Connection:

    • Connect the load to the output (VOUT) pin.
    • Ensure the ground (GND) pin is connected to the common ground of the load.
  3. Capacitors:

    • Place a 10 渭F tantalum or ceramic capacitor between VIN and GND close to the regulator to stabilize the input voltage.
    • Place a 10 渭F tantalum or ceramic capacitor between VOUT and GND close to the regulator to stabilize the output voltage.
  4. Thermal Considerations:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation if the regulator is expected to operate near its maximum output current.
    • Use a heatsink if the power dissipation exceeds the capabilities of the package.
  5. Short-Circuit Protection:

    • The regulator has built-in short-circuit protection, but it is recommended to use external fuses or circuit breakers for additional safety.
  6. Thermal Shutdown:

    • The device will shut down if the junction temperature exceeds 150掳C to prevent damage. It will automatically resume operation once the temperature returns to a safe level.
  7. Storage and Handling:

    • Store the device in a dry, cool place.
    • Handle with care to avoid static discharge, which can damage the device.
  8. Mounting:

    • Mount the regulator on a PCB with appropriate clearance to ensure proper heat dissipation and mechanical stability.
