Instructions for Using LB1745
Supply Voltage (Vcc):
- Ensure the supply voltage is within the range of 4.5V to 5.5V for proper operation.
Input Current (Iin):
- The input current should not exceed 1.0mA under no-load conditions.
Output Current (Iout):
- The device can provide a continuous output current of up to 200mA. Ensure that the load does not exceed this limit to avoid overheating or damage.
Output Voltage (Vout):
- The regulated output voltage is fixed at 3.3V. This value should remain stable under varying load conditions.
Dropout Voltage (Vdo):
- The dropout voltage is typically 0.6V when the output current is 150mA. Ensure that the input voltage is at least 0.6V higher than the output voltage to maintain regulation.
Quiescent Current (Iq):
- The quiescent current is approximately 2.0mA with no load. This is the current consumed by the regulator itself.
Load Regulation (ΔVout):
- The load regulation is 0.5% over the range of 0 to 200mA. This ensures that the output voltage remains stable despite changes in load.
Line Regulation (ΔVout):
- The line regulation is 0.1% over the input voltage range of 4.5V to 5.5V. This ensures that the output voltage remains stable despite variations in the input voltage.
Ripple Rejection (RR):
- The ripple rejection is 70dB from 10Hz to 100kHz. This helps in filtering out noise and ripple from the input power supply.
Operating Temperature (Toper):
- The operating temperature range is from -40°C to 85°C. Ensure that the device is used within this range to avoid thermal stress and potential failure.
Capacitors:
- Use appropriate input and output capacitors to stabilize the voltage and reduce ripple. Typically, a 10μF ceramic capacitor on the input and a 10μF ceramic capacitor on the output are recommended.
PCB Layout:
- Place the input and output capacitors as close as possible to the regulator to minimize inductance and improve stability.
Heat Dissipation:
- If the device is expected to operate near its maximum output current, ensure adequate heat dissipation by using a heatsink or providing sufficient airflow.
