Instructions for Use
Power Supply:
- Connect the VCC pin to a 5V DC power supply.
- Connect the GND pin to the ground of the power supply.
Trigger Pulse:
- Send a 10渭s TTL pulse to the TRIG pin to start the ranging.
- The sensor will automatically send out an ultrasonic burst and wait for the echo.
Echo Signal:
- The ECHO pin will output a high-level pulse whose duration is proportional to the distance to the object.
- Measure the duration of the high-level pulse using a microcontroller or timer.
- Distance (in cm) can be calculated using the formula: [ text = frac{text{Pulse Duration (in 渭s)}}{58} ]
Maximum Ranging Interval:
- To ensure accurate readings, the maximum ranging interval should be at least 60ms between two trigger pulses.
Mounting:
- Mount the sensor in a stable position with the ultrasonic transducer facing the area to be measured.
- Avoid placing the sensor near reflective surfaces that could cause false readings.
Interference:
- Ensure that multiple sensors are not placed too close to each other to avoid interference.
- If using multiple sensors, stagger the trigger pulses to prevent overlapping signals.
