Instructions for Using EXB842-OA

  1. Power Supply Connection:

    • Connect the positive terminal of the power supply to the VCC pin.
    • Connect the negative terminal of the power supply to the GND pin.
  2. Control Input:

    • Apply the control signal to the VCI pin to turn the gate driver on or off.
    • Ensure the control signal is within the specified range (4.5V to 20V).
  3. Gate Drive Output:

    • The gate drive output (VGE) will be 15V to 20V when the device is turned on.
    • When the device is turned off, the gate drive output will be -10V to 0V.
  4. Output Current:

    • The maximum output current (IO) is 4A. Ensure that the load does not exceed this limit to avoid damage to the device.
  5. Isolation:

    • The EXB842-OA provides electrical isolation up to 2500Vrms between the input and output circuits. This ensures safe operation in high-voltage applications.
  6. Temperature Considerations:

    • Operate the device within the temperature range of -40掳C to 125掳C for reliable performance.
    • Store the device in an environment with temperatures ranging from -55掳C to 150掳C.
  7. Handling and Installation:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid mechanical stress or damage.
    • Ensure proper heat sinking if the device will be operating at high currents or temperatures.
  8. Safety Precautions:

    • Always follow proper safety guidelines when working with high voltages.
    • Use appropriate protective equipment and ensure that the circuit is de-energized before making any connections or modifications.
