Instructions

  1. Power Supply Connection:

    • Connect the input voltage to the VIN pin.
    • Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range (2.7V to 5.5V).
  2. Output Configuration:

    • Connect the load to the VOUT1 and VOUT2 pins.
    • The output voltages are fixed at 1.8V for VOUT1 and 3.3V for VOUT2.
  3. Enable Control:

    • Use the EN pin to control the operation of the regulator.
    • Apply a logic high (≥1.8V) to the EN pin to enable the regulator.
    • Apply a logic low (≤0.4V) to the EN pin to disable the regulator.
  4. Ground Connection:

    • Connect the GND pin to the system ground.
  5. Thermal Considerations:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation if operating near the maximum output current.
    • Use a heatsink or PCB copper area to improve thermal performance.
  6. Capacitor Selection:

    • Place a 1μF ceramic capacitor close to the VIN pin to stabilize the input.
    • Place a 1μF ceramic capacitor close to each VOUT pin to stabilize the output.
  7. PCB Layout:

    • Keep the traces from the VIN and VOUT pins short and wide to minimize inductance.

    • The IP2312 includes built-in overcurrent and thermal shutdown protection.
