Instructions for MAX3232EIDR:

  1. Power Supply Requirements: Ensure the supply voltage (VCC) is within the range of 3.0V to 5.5V.
  2. Driver Outputs:
    • For high-level output (VOH), when sinking 4mA at 5V supply, ensure it stays between 4.2V and 5.0V.
    • For low-level output (VOL), when sourcing 4mA at 5V supply, ensure it does not exceed 0.4V.
  3. Receiver Inputs:
    • Recognize a high input level (VIH) as any voltage above 2.0V when operating at 5V.
    • Recognize a low input level (VIL) as any voltage below 0.8V when operating at 5V.
  4. Propagation Delay:
    • The propagation delay time (tPD) should be around 9ns with a maximum of 10ns at 5V supply.
  5. Driver to Driver Skew:
    • The skew between drivers (tSKEW) should not exceed 6ns at 5V supply.
  6. Power-down Mode:
    • In power-down mode, the current draw (IDD) should be minimal, ideally less than 1μA.
