Instructions for Use:
- Input Connection: Connect the input voltage between 2.9V and 13V to the VIN pin. Ensure that the input capacitor is placed as close as possible to the regulator.
- Output Connection: The VOUT pin provides a regulated 1.8V output. Place an output capacitor near this pin to stabilize the output voltage.
- Ground Connection: Ensure a solid ground connection between the GND pin and the system ground.
- Heat Dissipation: For applications where the regulator might get hot, consider adding a heatsink or using a PCB with adequate copper area for heat dissipation.
- Capacitors: Use ceramic capacitors with X7R dielectric for both input and output to ensure stability. Typical values are 1渭F for input and 10渭F for output.
- Short Circuit Protection: The device has built-in short-circuit and thermal overload protection. However, design the circuit to minimize the risk of these conditions occurring.
- PCB Layout: Keep the layout compact and use wide traces for power and ground lines to reduce resistance and inductance.
