Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply Connection:

    • Connect the input voltage (VIN) within the operating range of 4.5V to 60V.
    • Ensure proper bypassing with ceramic capacitors close to the input pins.
  2. Output Configuration:

    • Set the output voltage (VOUT) using external resistors according to the formula provided in the datasheet.
    • Verify the output voltage with a multimeter before connecting the load.
  3. Frequency Adjustment:

    • Adjust the switching frequency (fSW) by selecting an appropriate resistor value for RT.
    • Verify the frequency setting with an oscilloscope if necessary.
  4. Current Limit Setting:

    • Set the peak inductor current limit (ILIM) using the ILIM pin and external components as per the application requirements.
    • Monitor the current during operation to ensure it does not exceed the set limit.
  5. Thermal Management:

    • Ensure adequate heat sinking or PCB copper area is provided to manage junction temperature (TOPR).
    • Keep the device within the specified operating temperature range.
  6. Protection Features:

    • The device includes overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection, and thermal shutdown.
    • Test these features under controlled conditions to ensure proper operation.
  7. Storage and Handling:

    • Store the device within the storage temperature range (-65°C to 150°C).
    • Handle with care to avoid damage from electrostatic discharge (ESD).

Refer to the detailed datasheet for more specific information and advanced configurations.
