Instructions:
- Powering the Device: Connect the VDD pin to a power supply within the specified voltage range (2.4V to 3.6V). Ensure GND is properly grounded.
- Recording Audio: Use the RECORD command via the SPI interface to start recording. The device will record up to its maximum time limit (16 seconds) or until STOP is issued.
- Playing Back Audio: Initiate playback using the PLAY command through the SPI interface. Playback continues until the end of the recorded message or until STOP is sent.
- PWM Output Configuration: Configure the PWM output for appropriate audio amplification or connect directly to a speaker as per application requirements.
- Entering Shutdown Mode: Send the SHUTDOWN command to enter low-power mode. This reduces current draw to less than 1 μA.
- Recovering from Shutdown: Send any command to wake the device from shutdown mode and return it to operational status.
- Handling Multiple Segments: The ISD9160FI supports multiple segments of recordings. Manage these using address pointers and segment control commands.
- Error Handling: Monitor error flags returned by the device to ensure proper operation and take corrective actions if necessary.
