Instructions for Using the LM556:

  1. Power Supply Connection: Connect the supply voltage between pin 16 (V+) and pin 8 (GND) for the first timer, and between pin 10 (V+) and pin 1 (GND) for the second timer.

  2. Trigger Input (Pin 2/6): Apply a negative-going pulse to trigger the timer. The pulse should be less than 1/3 of the supply voltage.

  3. Threshold Input (Pin 3/7): This input is used to reset the flip-flop inside the timer when the voltage exceeds 2/3 of the supply voltage.

  4. Discharge Pin (Pin 7/15): Connect this pin to ground through a resistor or capacitor as needed for timing functions.

  5. Control Voltage (Pin 5/11): Can be used to adjust the threshold levels by applying an external voltage.

  6. Reset Input (Pin 4/12): A low signal on this pin resets the timer output to low regardless of other inputs.

  7. Output (Pin 9/14): Provides the output signal which can drive loads up to 200mA.

  8. Capacitor Connections: For accurate timing, connect capacitors from the discharge pin to ground and from the threshold pin to ground.

Ensure all connections are secure and components are rated appropriately for the circuit's operating conditions.
