Instructions for Use:
- Power Supply: Connect the power supply voltage (Vcc) to pin 16 and ground (GND) to pin 8. Ensure Vcc is within the specified range.
- Counter Operation: The 74HC393D contains two independent 4-bit binary counters. Each counter can be used separately or cascaded for higher bit counting.
- Clock Input: Apply clock pulses to the appropriate clock input pins (CP0 and CP1). The counters increment on the rising edge of the clock signal.
- Reset Function: Both counters have individual reset inputs (MR0 and MR1). A low level on these pins will reset the respective counter to zero.
- Cascade Connection: For cascading the counters, connect the output of one counter stage to the clock input of the next stage.
- Output Handling: Outputs Q0 to Q3 provide the binary count. Ensure that any connected load does not exceed the maximum current ratings.
- Decoupling Capacitors: Place a decoupling capacitor close to the Vcc and GND pins to minimize noise and improve stability.
