Instructions for Use
Power Supply:
- Ensure the supply voltage is within the range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
- Decouple the power supply with a 0.1μF capacitor placed close to the Vcc pin.
Input Connections:
- Keep input bias currents low by using high impedance sources or buffers.
- Avoid exceeding the common-mode input voltage range which is from GND to Vcc - 1.5V.
Output Configuration:
- The output can swing from 0.2V above ground to 0.2V below Vcc.
- For best performance, load resistances should be greater than 2kΩ.
Stability and Compensation:
- The LTC1261IS8 is internally compensated for unity gain stability.
- External compensation may be necessary for gains less than 10 depending on the application.
Temperature Considerations:
- The device operates over the industrial temperature range (-40°C to +85°C).
- Be aware that parameters like offset voltage and bias current are sensitive to temperature variations.
Layout Guidelines:
- Keep signal paths short and direct to minimize noise pickup.
- Use ground planes to reduce noise and improve performance.
Handling Precautions:
- The device is sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD); use appropriate ESD protection measures during handling and assembly.
