Instructions for Use:
Power Supply Connection:
- Connect the input voltage (VIN) to the power supply ensuring it is within the range of 2.9V to 5.5V.
Battery Charging:
- Connect the battery to be charged to the VBAT pin. Ensure the battery charge current does not exceed the maximum rating of 3.0A.
Output Configuration:
- Set the desired output voltage (VOUT) using the feedback resistors. Verify that the maximum output current does not exceed 2.0A.
Enable Pin (EN):
- To enable the device, set the EN pin high. For shutdown, pull the EN pin low to reduce power consumption.
Thermal Management:
- Monitor the device temperature to ensure it does not exceed 160°C to prevent thermal shutdown.
Quiescent and Shutdown Currents:
- When no load is connected, the quiescent current will be approximately 75μA. In shutdown mode, the current draw will be about 0.1μA.
Efficiency Monitoring:
- Check the efficiency at typical operating conditions (VIN = 4.2V, VOUT = 3.3V, IOUT = 1A) to ensure optimal performance around 90%.
