Instructions for Use:

  1. Power Supply Connection:

    • Connect the positive terminal of the power supply to pin 8 (VCC) and the negative terminal to pin 4 (GND).
  2. Input Connection:

    • Connect the audio input signal to pin 1 (IN). Ensure the input signal does not exceed the maximum input sensitivity to avoid distortion.
  3. Output Connection:

    • Connect the speaker to pins 5 and 6 (OUT+ and OUT-). The TDA7050 is designed for a 4Ω load.
  4. Bypass Capacitor:

    • Place a 10μF capacitor between VCC and GND close to the IC to stabilize the power supply.
  5. Heat Dissipation:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation if operating near the maximum output power, possibly using a heatsink.
  6. Protection:

    • The TDA7050 includes internal protection circuits against overheating, short circuit, and thermal shutdown.
  7. Standby Mode:

    • To put the device in standby mode, connect pin 2 (STBY) to GND. To activate normal operation, leave pin 2 open or apply a high logic level.
  8. Layout Considerations:

    • Keep signal paths as short as possible to minimize noise pickup.
    • Use ground planes to reduce electromagnetic interference.

Always refer to the manufacturer’s datasheet for detailed specifications and application notes.
